What have we been doing?

In reading we continue to study comprehension skills such as author's purpose, summarizing, and many, many more.  We are well into Guided Reading groups and students seem to be enjoying challenging themselves.

In math we are working on place value, comparing and rounding decimals.  We will move into adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals.

In writing we have worked on strategies for generating ideas and skills for writing a good personal narrative.  We have just begun to write pieces that will be taken through to publication.

In Social Studies students have picked which Native American tribe they would like to study and are research and deciding how they want to present their information to the class.
